


ALI RYERSON
ALI RYERSON, is a gifted jazz flautist who brings a special, unique voice to the instrument. She is an artist of great depth and ability.
Ali, has released ten jazz albums,the first four on European labels. She was then signed by legendary record producer Bob Thiele, who produced two albums on his Red Baron label.
She then signed with Concord Jazz for an additional three recordings and is consistently included in the Downbeat Polls and Jazziz put her Concord debut album on its
"Critics' Picks" for 1995. Ali's 1997 solo album release on the Concord label is Brasil/Quiet Devotion and her most recent effort, in collaboration with Joe Beck, is on the DMP label.
JOE BECK
Unfortunately, Joe Beck, passed away July 22, 2008 of complications from lung cancer.
Joe, will be remembered by musicians and music lovers forever and as the amazing guitarist who was in fact, the first guitarist to play for Miles Davis. Even more as a pioneering guitarist who
pushed jazz into the fusion age with peers such as Michael Brecker, and David Sanborn.
An outstanding studio ace guitarist who did countless sessions for artists like James Brown, and Paul Simon. Most of all he'll be remembered as the inventive guitarist who designed
and was the undisputed master of the Alto guitar. As the virtuoso guitarist who recorded classic albums as a leader such as "Relaxin'" and "Just Friends" artists of this calibre ensure
their memory is cherished and lives on.
During his rich and varied career he has released albums with a wide range of co-artists from Red Mitchell, to David Sanborn, (Beck&Sanborn on Columbia Records). Joe, also arranged and produced records for many artists, including Frank Sinatra, Gloria Gaynor, and two albums for Esther Phillips, including her hit single, What A Difference A Day Makes. Joe's, tenth solo release, Fingerpainting, is on the Wavetone label and his most recent effort, in collaboration with Ali Ryerson, is on the DMP label.
